Description: What We're Doing Become a part of something IMPACT-ful Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nationu2019s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. The Work A Depot Technician is a professional who uses their specialized knowledge to maintain, repair, and upgrade computer and electronic devices. They work on a variety of tasks, from installing software and databases to troubleshooting hardware problems. They also manage inventory, track call histories, and assist in system backups. Their duties may involve training other technicians, updating asset management, and configuring new and existing devices. Depot technicians often work with on-call support teams to resolve complex issues. They use various software applications to manage tasks and maintain system security. Their skills cover a wide range of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Unix. A Day in the Life: u2022 Ensures test systems are setup per Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs). u2022 Resolves and corrects complex problems during operations, maintenance, and overhaul of (GMD) Ground-based Defense system/sub-system components. u2022 Works on small team for assembly, disassembly and troubleshooting of operational components to include a variety of electrical and mechanical components using general maintenance practices and product specifications to correct failures. u2022 Performs routine and complex functional/diagnostic tests and troubleshoots electrical/mechanical systems, using monitoring instruments and bench/automated test equipment, to determine root cause of initial or isolated failures. u2022 Visually inspects component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components. u2022 Visually inspect printed circuit boards for cold solder joints, cracked ICs, CAPs and other potentially bad components. u2022 Performs certified soldering of components and surface mount components in accordance with current specifications. u2022 Proficient in the use of a wide range of test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters. u2022 Identifies and communicates potential issues concerning Safety, HazMat, OSHA, and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). u2022 Prepares and submits any required maintenance reports and attends all maintenance related meetings. Learn more about Lockheed Martin's comprehensive benefits package here ( #rmshotmiljobs Basic Qualifications: u2022 HS Diploma or equivalent u2022 Current GWS Team member u2022 Depot forward maintenance experience u2022 Associate Certified Electronic Technician (CETs) certification or equivalent; or demonstrated experience with soldering, troubleshooting and testing in lieu of CET. u2022 IPC u2013 610/620 Certification u2022 Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. u2022 Manual dexterity to handle all types of hand tools (wrenches, pliers, crimp, screwdriver, etc.) u2022 Demonstrated ability to review technical manuals, drawings, schematics. u2022 Proficiency with Electrical Static Discharge control processes u2022 Active DoD Secret clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Familiarity with any of the following: IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, and/or ANSI/ESD S20.20. u2022 IPC A-610 Class 2 or Class 3 soldering certificate u2022 Experience working with spacecraft, aircraft, rocket ordnance/rocket motors, and missile components all a plus. u2022 Experience with assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems. u2022 Ability to operate a Forklift, truck mounted crane, and other MHE associated equipment. u2022 Experience in isolating and correcting malfunctions using automatic and semi-automatic program maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, and Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) as well as industry standard commercial off the shelf external test equipment. u2022 Proficient in the use of a wide range of test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters. u2022 Proficiency performing electrical system diagnostics and troubleshooting to isolate and resolve root cause problems within a circuit card assembly (CCA) or electro-mechanical system. u2022 Graduate of a commercial or military maintenance school or program Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
