Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Product Development Engineer for our client, an American manufacturer of luxury hot tubs, swim spas and pools, based out of Las Vegas, NV. This person will be responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and launch of new products, as well as sustaining engineering improvements for existing product lines. This role plays a key part in driving innovation, ensuring regulatory and UL compliance, and executing product development projects from concept through production. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in mechanical design, strong SolidWorks proficiency, and deep knowledge of industry standards and certification processes. Essential Functions: Product Development & Engineering Design u2022u2003Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycleu2014from concept, feasibility, modeling, and prototyping to testing and final production release. u2022u2003Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks (including simulations, FEA, GD&T, BOM creation, etc.). u2022u2003Develop and maintain product specifications, technical documentation, CAD models, and engineering change orders. Testing, Validation & Compliance u2022u2003Ensure all new and modified products meet UL, CSA, CE, and other applicable regulatory and safety standards. u2022u2003Coordinate product testing, validation, and certification processes internally and with third-party labs. u2022u2003Conduct risk assessments (FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA) and lead corrective actions related to design, performance, and safety. Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration u2022u2003Lead multi-disciplinary project teams involving manufacturing, sourcing, quality, marketing, and operations to deliver projects on time and within budget. u2022u2003Manage product development timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. u2022u2003Support vendor evaluations, material selection, and cost optimization initiatives.
