Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Amsterdam, New York. This role offers an excellent opportunity to handle financial transactions, ensure accuracy in payment processing, and support the overall financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable and demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and verify invoices to ensure proper coding and compliance with company policies. u2022 Manage vendor payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements. u2022 Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies. u2022 Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and other financial documents. u2022 Collaborate with internal departments to address payment inquiries and resolve issues. u2022 Monitor and report on accounts payable aging and other financial metrics. u2022 Assist with month-end closing activities and provide necessary documentation. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company guidelines. u2022 Participate in audits by preparing relevant accounts payable documentation. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounts payable operations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting field. u2022 Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and tools. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment. u2022 Familiarity with accounting regulations and compliance standards. u2022 Experience with reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
