DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY MEDICINE The University of Connecticut School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine is seeking a board-certified DO or MD family physician for a full-time faculty position. In addition to practicing full scope family medicine including outpatient, inpatient, and preferably Obstetrics, this position includes teaching and supervision for residents and medical students. UConn's family medicine residency program (7/7/7 accredited program) is based solely at the Family Medicine Center at Asylum Hill in Hartford CT. Our inpatient hospital is Saint Francis Hospital (directly across the street from the practice center) and is part of Trinity Health of New England. The program is based in the west-end of Hartford and has been a part of the fabric of Hartford for more than 40 years with an on-going mission to serve the underserved of the city. In addition to serving our patients and training dynamic future family medicine physicians, we are very active in the SOM teaching courses at different levels, mentoring students, and participating in different scholarly and community projects. We actively collaborate with several community agencies with projects that are integrated with our residency program. Our department is committed to support DEI and well-being initiatives. Our collaborative environment promotes the creation of curriculum in our residency and SOM level by our faculty.
