Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our healthcare team in Marshall, Michigan. In this role, you will play a key part in managing billing operations and ensuring accurate financial transactions within the organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and issue accurate billing statements to clients and patients. u2022 Manage the collection of payments and maintain organized financial records. u2022 Oversee computerized billing systems to ensure smooth operations. u2022 Work closely with healthcare staff to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments. u2022 Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and standards. u2022 Generate periodic financial reports related to billing activities. u2022 Assist in the implementation and improvement of billing processes and procedures. u2022 Maintain confidentiality and security of patient financial information. u2022 Stay updated on changes in medical billing practices and health care policies. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in medical billing or a similar role. u2022 Strong knowledge of healthcare billing systems and procedures. u2022 Proficiency in computerized billing software and tools. u2022 Excellent organizational and time management skills. u2022 Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion. u2022 Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members. u2022 Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards. u2022 Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
