Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in central New Jersey. In this role, you will oversee and execute payroll processes across multiple entities and states, ensuring compliance and accuracy at all times. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential payroll support and collaborating with various teams. Responsibilities: u2022 Process weekly payroll for multiple entities and EINs across various states, ensuring accurate and timely execution. u2022 Manage payroll operations using OnePoint software, handling data entry, reconciliations, reporting, and configuration of earnings and deductions. u2022 Interpret and apply multi-state and local tax regulations to ensure proper withholding, reporting, and tax payments. u2022 Collaborate with implementation teams to establish compliance in new tax jurisdictions during organizational expansions. u2022 Audit timesheets, overtime calculations, and commission data to maintain payroll accuracy. u2022 Handle monthly reimbursements, expense payouts, and administer wage garnishments, bonuses, and adjustments. u2022 Respond to payroll-related inquiries and manage employment verifications with a high level of professionalism. u2022 Coordinate with HR on pay setup for new hires, updates to compensation, and accurate worker classifications. u2022 Work with the workersu2019 compensation broker to set up new classifications and reporting codes. u2022 Prepare and analyze payroll, tax, and labor cost reports for Finance and HR leadership, as well as supporting annual audits with relevant documentation. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 4 years of payroll experience, preferably within a healthcare or management services organization. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-state payrolls across multiple EINs and varied schedules. u2022 Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including jurisdictional setup and unemployment requirements. u2022 Practical experience using OnePoint or similar payroll systems. u2022 Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines. u2022 Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processes, including garnishments and expense management. u2022 Exceptional analytical skills to prepare detailed payroll reports and audits. u2022 Ability to effectively manage payroll operations for organizations with 101-500 employees.
