Job Type Full-time Description MATT Construction, the General Contractor that built such iconic Los Angeles structures as The Broad Museum and Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to join our team. This role is key in ensuring the health and well-being of our on-site project teams and provides an opportunity for career growth within MATT’s safety department. Ideal candidates will:Have a passion for the construction fieldBe capable of providing creative and innovative solutions for unique/one-of-a-kind projectsBe willing to travel to job sitesHave the ability to coach and possess leadership skillsThe Senior Safety Manager will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of occupational health and safety programs and procedures at various jobsites.Responsibilities:Conducting safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training municates with stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, insurance carriers, legal, and government agencies. Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.Provides project management teams with guidance on health and safety and confirms project sites fulfill industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and municates with project management regarding project site injury and incident notifications, investigations, and case management. Performs record keeping and auditing functions regarding key company safety metrics.Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.Provides technical support to project managers.Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
