Centric Brands reflects a team built on respect, for others and for the hard work it takes to achieve our goals and build our bright future together.The Role:Centric Brands is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to assist in preparing month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations and overseeing the general ledger accounting daily operations for Corporate Accounting. This position is based in New York City, New York and will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager.Responsibilities:Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to booking, reconciling and reporting financial activityCompile and analyze financial information to prepare entries including leases, payroll, reserve adjustments, prepaids and depositsMonitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completenessIdentify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularitiesEnsure all financial closing and reporting deadlines that have been assigned are met.Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysisInteract with FP&A, Payroll and other departments to align actual with budgetAssist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes filed on a quarterly and annual Partner with external audit teams and help with the overall administration of external auditsMaintain organized, accurate and complete accounting records, electronically and hard copies, as necessaryBack-up month-end duties assigned to other AccountantsIdentify areas for process improvement and stream-liningDocument policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibilityDevelop trustworthy relationships with colleaguesMentor and train interns as neededAll other Ad Hoc functions3-5 years practical accounting experience with undergraduate accounting degreeFamiliarity with month end close and journal entry processStrong analytical/planning skills, together with a strong accounting/control backgroundDetailed knowledge of Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of SAP and BPC a plusKnowledge of GAAPAdvanced knowledge of excel. Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process.
