Location: This position does not support teleworking ; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. Please note we will not provide relocation services for this position. - - - What does this role look like? The new Hardware Engineer will support the LE2 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM - - - Key activities you will accomplish in this role: In this dynamic role you will: u2022 Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navyu2019s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program. u2022 Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: u2022 Support the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending. u2022 Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems. u2022 Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions. u2022 Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers. u2022 Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure. u2022 Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites as required, less than 25%. - - - To be effective in this role, you will need: u2022 Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware u2022 3+ years of professional experience for this role. u2022 You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. - - - Why Lockheed Martin? Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
