Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This role focuses on providing essential support to the accounting department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform daily reconciliation of financial accounts, with a focus on Citi Bank transactions. u2022 Process 20u201325 invoices per day using QuickBooks to ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping. u2022 Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks to maintain financial accuracy. u2022 Conduct light data entry to update and maintain financial records. u2022 Collaborate with the accounting team to address discrepancies and resolve issues. u2022 Assist with maintaining organized documentation for audits and compliance purposes. u2022 Provide support for month-end closing activities as needed. u2022 Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards in all financial tasks. Requirements u2022 At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance-related role. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks for invoice processing and account management. u2022 Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. u2022 Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. u2022 Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members. u2022 Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. u2022 Experience working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting is preferred.
