Job Title: Sanitation Lead Location: Elk Grove Pay: $28 Shift: Night shift (9pm- 7am) - 12 hour weekend Shifts Job Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sanitation Lead to join our team, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness within our facility. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance, with a focus on maintaining equipment and infrastructure to support efficient production processes. Responsibilities + Perform tasks according to Safety and Food Safety Standards. + Participate in safety training programs and contribute to safety initiatives. + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to food safety and sanitation. + Learn and execute cleaning procedures for various machinery using appropriate chemicals. + Rotate cleaning areas daily and cover electronic devices prior to wet cleaning. + Use air and water nozzles with proper protective equipment. + Verify that machinery is completely clean and properly assembled after cleaning. + Store cleaning equipment in designated areas. + Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for safety. + Collaborate with team members to clean machinery as needed. + Weigh waste generated by machines to ensure accurate totals. + Report safety hazards to the supervisor promptly. + Use ladders or scissor lifts for cleaning tasks safely. + Label chemicals in secondary containers according to OSHA-GHS procedures. + Operate trash and recycling machines and notify the supervisor when they reach capacity. + Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. + Assist with janitorial duties as needed. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + 1-2 yearsu2019 experience in sanitation procedures with food manufacturing equipment. + Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written. + Proficient math, analytical, and problem-solving skills. + Basic computer skills. + Ability to work with water and chemicals safely. + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. + Ability to perform work while standing for prolonged periods. + Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, and reach. + Ability to drive a forklift/industrial equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Grade School Level education; High School Diploma or GED a plus. + Experience working in food manufacturing or similar industries. + Excellent team player. + Self-motivated and able to work independently. + Reliable and punctual with schedule flexibility. + Adherence to drug and alcohol zero tolerance policy. + Compliance with food safety and certification policies.
