A sweet young family of three in Brooklyn is seeking a full-time nanny to help them care for their 3-month-old son. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm, with occasional flexibility for date nights or overnights as agreed to in advance. The family is hoping to find someone to start on January 5 or shortly after, so immediate availability is necessary for this role.Handle all infant care, including managing sleep and feeding schedulesWashing bottles and sanitizing toysPreparing and introducing solids when the time comesKeeping his spaces organized and tidyChildren's laundryMonitoring nursery inventory and working with parents to maintain suppliesGetting him out and about on a daily basis (weather permitting) including walks and trips to the park, and scheduling classes and playdates as he gets olderCommunicating with first-time parents about milestones and developmentEngaging and creative, and willing to read to the baby and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning activities as he gets olderFamiliar with Brooklyn and proactive in planning activities and outingsKnowledgeable about infant and childhood developmentWarm and lovingProfessional and communicativeAble to work around a WFH parentUS work authorizationAbility to comfortably navigate stairs, as the family lives in a three floor walkupRecent experience with infantsCPR/First Aid certified, or willing to get certified immediatelyUp-to-date on infant vaccines including TDap and MMR, and willing to get annual Covid and Flu boosters$35/hr., DOEHealthcare reimbursement
