JOB PostingJOB TITLE:DockmasterDEPARTMENT:DocksREPORTS TO:General ManagerPOSITIONPURPOSE:TheDockmasterisoftenthefirstpersonourcustomerswillinteractwithwhenarrivingbyvessel.TheDockmasterisa strongand motivatingleaderresponsiblefortheoveralloperationofthedocks.Thisincludesschedulingofdockhands,communicationwith vessel captains, reservations, maintainingoverall safety and cleanlinessofthemarina, fueloperations, providing thehighestlevel ofguestservices,concierge,trainingofnewteammembers,andsecuringthemarinaandvesselsintheeventofinclement weather.DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:Sets and provides the highest level of customer/guest services and expedites any and all requests from vesselsSchedules and manages all dockhands in marina related duties such as securing boats, fuel, black water pump outs, connecting and monitoring utility services, and waste disposal. Leads the dockhands by example.Performsdailyinspectionofthedocks,workswith maintenancemanagerinscheduling generalrepairand maintenance ofthedocksinordertomaintainsafetyandcleanlinessstandardsandtoidentifyissuesrequiringmaintenance,repairor replacement.Routinelyoperates,motorandwatervehiclesandothervariousmechanized equipmentEDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE:A broad knowledge of marina operations, boat lifting, boat handling and towing, and equipment maintenanceAbility to manage and motivate staffA positive attitude, the ability to communicate proficiently, and ability to relate to customers in a luxury environmentUnderstandingofcommonmarinaoperationaldocumentationsuchasagreements,contracts,termsandconditions, marina regulations and must be able to analyze themWORKINGCONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Mustbeabletoindependently lift,carry, push,andpulluptothirty(30)poundsMustbeable toswimorbewilling towearapersonal flotationdeviceininstancesof emergencyMustbeabletoperformsimplegrasping,finemanipulation,andrepetitivehand&armmovementsfrequently,and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionallyMust be able to express oneself and effectively convey directions and clear instructions to a team of individualsSTATEMENT OF PURPOSEThis document provides descriptive information about the above Suntex Marinas position.
