What You'll Be Doing As a Clinical Dietitian you will be responsible for providing basic nutrition assessments and care planning for patients. Assessing the nutritional needs of patients; providing quality nutritional care and monitoring response to nutrition therapy as appropriate to age-specific nutrition.Ensures that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all timesProvides clinical nutrition assessment and documentation for general medical and surgical oncology, bariatric/weight management and critical careIdentify and provide age-specific nutrition counseling to meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families.Maintains quality assurance and evaluates compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelinesAssists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the Food & Nutrition Department, its programs and activitiesAssists Food & Nutrition team members in use of departmental policies and proceduresProvides written/oral reports to the Administrator or required concerning the operations of the Food & Nutrition DepartmentManages and improves policies, procedures, and programs to assure compliance with regulatory requirements by making oral/written recommendations to the Clinical Nutrition ManagerDevelops and participates in educational sessions for team members to increase knowledge of staff and improve resident care for the Food & Nutrition DepartmentReviews appropriate web sites, publications and other educational materials to ensure that the standards of practice are being achievedMonitors food temperature and taste through the use of Test Trays, Meal Evaluations and review of Food Temperature LogsPerforms other related duties as assigned What We're Looking For Per Diem, Day ShiftBachelor's degree in Nutritional Science or closely related fieldUp to 1 yr of post degree course work and/or internship with no previous external experience requiredRegistered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist registration with American Dietetic Association required at time of hireAHA BLS Provider Certification requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate knowledge of current computer systems, equipment or programs used in the organization, knowlegdge of MediTech a plusProficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc. What We Offer What We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experience and qualifications: When determining the compensation, several factors may be considered including, years of relevant experience, credentials, union contracts, education, and internal prehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401K, Retirement savings plan with employer contributionGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidaysTuition ReimbursementOpportunities for professional growth, development, and continuing educationEmployee wellness programs and resourcesInfluenza Vaccinations are a requirement for employment.
