We are a recruitment agency that is currently recruiting for Accounting Clerks for our clients in the Tri-Cities: Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam & Port Moody. We are looking for candidates to join our on-call Accounting Clerk workforce pool for casual/contract work. Requirements: 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience Previous experience in accounting clerk/support roles Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in an accounting software: QuickBooks, Sage etc. Strong & accurate typing skills: eSkills assessment would be required Excellent communication skills: written & verbal Ability to prioritize tasks & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn & support a team Duties: Perform daily data entry of financial transactions into accounting software Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Generate reports and summaries as requested by management Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and billing issues File, organize, and maintain accounting documents and records Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations Assist the accounting team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed What's In It For You: Full-Time/Part-Time Contract/Temporary (Assignments can range from 1 day to 1-2 weeks at a time) Monday to Friday Day Shifts Live local, work local within the Tri-Cities: Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam & Port Moody $22-$23 an hour This position is open to all qualified applicants who are legally entitled to work in BC.
