Job Description

The Part-Time Assistant Property Manager will support the primary property manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our housing communities. This role involves a combination of administrative, customer service, leasing, and maintenance coordination tasks.Key Responsibilities1. Leasing & Tenant RelationsShow apartments to prospective tenantsProcess rental applications and lease agreementsRespond to resident inquiries and resolve complaintsCoordinate move-ins and move-outs2. Administrative SupportMaintain accurate records (leases, payments, maintenance logs)Assist with rent collection and deposit preparationUpdate property management software (AppFolio)Help prepare reports for ownership or senior management3. Maintenance CoordinationReceive and dispatch work orders to maintenance staffFollow up on service requests to ensure timely completionConduct unit inspections (move-in/out, annual, etc.)4. MarketingPost rental listings onlineAssist with resident events or promotionsMaintain curb appeal of the propertyPart-Time Hours 15-20 hours/weekMay include weekends or evenings, depending on leasing needsJob RequirementsPrior experience in property management or leasing preferredGood communication and customer service skillsOrganized and detail-orientedBasic proficiency with computers and property management systemsHigh school diploma or equivalent; some roles prefer an associate's or bachelor's degreeAbility to pass background checks.
