Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in McKinney, Texas. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a commitment to supporting the financial operations of the organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform reconciliations for payroll accounts, disbursement accounts, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. u2022 Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, including sales tax documentation. u2022 Create and post journal entries to maintain accurate records in the general ledger. u2022 Support the monthly closing process by managing financial data and preparing required reports. u2022 Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop and Office Suite to streamline daily tasks. u2022 Collaborate with team members to address accounting discrepancies and improve processes. u2022 Provide general support to the accounting department, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with financial standards. u2022 Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. u2022 Assist with tax-related tasks, including corporate tax filings and sales tax calculations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role. u2022 A degree in Accounting is preferred but not mandatory. u2022 Proficiency in Office Suite and QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop. u2022 Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members. u2022 Experience with corporate tax filings and sales tax documentation. u2022 Skilled in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger. u2022 Ability to perform account reconciliations with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Familiarity with monthly closing processes and financial reporting requirements.
