Interacts with system and storage teams to perform back-up and recovery procedures for ensuring business continuity.Write documentation to support middleware infrastructure.Maintain good communication with vendors, systems support teams, and local teams as needed; including interfacing with end users and next level management to provide technical consulting.Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, and test software applications and associated products.Participate in peer reviews for designs, code, and other work products.Provide 24 x 7 on-call support to ensure application functionality and to minimize disruptions.Monitor the IT Service Management System to resolve customer issues and meet service expectations.Education & Requirements The following experience may be concurrent: Minimum eight (8) years of experience on Middleware applications like Kafka, IIS, Tomcat, Websphere, WebLogic, performance tuning and managing them in clustered environmentsHands-on experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Puppet (preferred), Chef, Ansible, Rundeck, Jenkins, and/or related toolsHands-on experience with executing scripts and independently performing troubleshooting on Linux and/or Unix (RHEL/Solaris) operating systemsBachelor’s degree with a major in Computer related field or similar technical field from an accredited institution requiredKey QualificationsMust have a valid California Driver's LicenseExpert knowledge of installing, configuring, administering, implementing and performance tuning clustered Middleware environments.Expert knowledge of writing UNIX Shell Scripts (Korn, Bourne), WLST and Python ScriptsStrong understanding of the JVM and how it operates and optimizing it for best performance and availability, i.e., Garbage Collection, Tuning, etcExpert knowledge of DevOps toolsets such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker etc. desirableStrong knowledge on AZURE or any other cloud technologiesStrong planning, organization, critical thinking, decision-making and communication (verbal and written) skillsWord processing and data entry involving computer keyboard and screens, distribution of supplies and equipment to in-house departmentsMust be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. Items weighing more than 50 lbs. will require assistance when moving. Back support belts must be worn when lifting, pushing, or pulling items.
