Come work where you play—and help us inspire healthier, happier lives for everyone!Responsible for supervision and safety of childrenPrepare materials required to implement daily activitiesEnsure the general health, welfare, and well-being of each childAssisting in lunch preparations and snacksDaily cleaning of classroom and materialsExhibit initiative by demonstrating leadership without being promptedBe an active participant in activities with the childrenResponsible for being a good communicator to all children, parents, supervisors, and co-workers, providing excellent customer service. Enroll and attend 16 hours of off-site in-service annually. Learn and observe all JCPRD guidelines, policies, and procedures.Salary: $16.00 per hour.Hours: 15-30 hours per week; flexible & schedules vary throughout the day from 7a-6pSeasonal Benefits & discounts on JCPRD classesLocations: Roeland Park Community Center and various elementary schools in the Shawnee Mission School District.Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.Job Requirements: Minimum Age: 18 years and olderHigh school diploma or equivalent 6 months of experience in early childhood education providing direct supervision to children 3-5 years oldAdditional Requirements:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Self-motivation and ability to prioritize personal responsibilities and accomplish job tasks with autonomy from close supervision. Shows a knowledge and love of working with children.JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.
