As a key member of the Compensation Accounting team, the Accounting Manager will lead specialized accounting functions, ensuring compliance with global standards while driving operational efficiency to support Slalom's worldwide business.What You'll Dou2022Lead and manage the monthly close process, reviewing monthly journal entries and reconciliations, to ensure financial statement accuracy, efficiency while complying with related policy and controls.u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Payroll, Benefits, FP&A, Fintech, & Data teams) to reimagine and implement scalable best practices while leveraging modern accounting technologies and automation.u2022 Lead and develop the Compensation Accounting team by fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture and empowering team members to deliver impactful, data-driven analyses.u2022 Communicate proactively on anticipated financial statement impacts, deliver clear monthly analyses of key P&L changes, and serve as the subject matter expert for all compensation-related account activities.u2022 Own complex, high-impact assignments, applying strong judgment and decision-making skills.u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls and champion process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance.u2022 Lead audit readiness by providing timely documentation and insightful analysis to ensure a smooth and efficient process.What You'll Bringu2022 5 years of progressive accounting experience in mid/large, global, or fast-growing companies with a focus in compensation, benefits and equity.u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or two additional years of relevant professional experience.u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including through presentation.u2022 Ability to influence action and decisions, enhance cross-functional processes, and to quickly adapt to changing business needs.u2022 Proven ability to lead projects and initiatives that drive continuous process improvement, collaborating across teams to enhance efficiency and deliver measurable results.u2022 Experienced people leader with a proven record of developing team members and leveraging innovative tools to drive growth and performance.u2022 Advanced Excel Expertise with proficiency in the use of pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling, and automation techniques (e.g., macros).u2022 Ability to quickly learn and implement new accounting and analytics tools, ERP systems (including Oracle and Workday), and cloud-based platforms.u2022 Experience transforming financial data into actionable insights using tools like Power BI or similar visualization software.u2022 Understanding of integrations between accounting systems and other enterprise applications and familiarity with workf
