Supply ChainTrainees at Saputo assist supply chain departments through eitherMaterial Requirements Planning (MRP), Demand Planning, Supply Planning,Production Planning, Transportation/Logistics, Production Planning, orCheese Procurement. While working as a Supply Chain Trainee you will betasked with identifying and supporting the implementation of costreduction, network optimization, and process improvement opportunities.How You Will Make Contributions That Matter: Everyday Support of theDepartment Contribute to the success of the department by planningfor SKUs, routes, categories, or distribution centers. Provide KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs) to leadership. Identify and communicaterisk (over/shorts/delays) to key stakeholders. Evaluate networklayout considering ordering quantities, distribution footprint,warehouse costs, transportation costs, and other factors to providerecommendations on optimization of the supply chain. Recommendationswill consider such topics as sourcing flows, stocking points, purchaseschedules, etc. Evaluate customer order patterns, shelf life, leadtime, and other factors to establish default stocking recommendations.This will include recommending make to order or make to stock; furtherclarification of make to stock will include target quantities (quantityor time based). Additional expansions of the project may include targetreorder quantities. You Are Best Suited for The Role If You.... Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics,Statistics/Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering. Has previousinternship and/or working experience (preferred) Are excellent inanalytical and data management skills (Statistical Analysis). Havefamiliarity with supply chain concepts and software. Have familiaritywith operational planning & scheduling. Possess intermediate Excelskills (vlookups, pivot tables, if/then). Have previous SAPexperience (preferred). Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, canwork independently, and as part of a team. Demonstrateprofessionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at alltimes. Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtimeas needed. Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attentionto detail, and punctuality.
