Conducts root cause investigation and is responsible for driving the implementation of corrective action and preventive measuresDirectly responsible for customer complaint reduction to assigned Humanscale Product lineInitiates, leads and participates in continuous improvement projectsOperationsWorks with experienced QEs to disposition non-conforming materialOversees efforts and works with production, inventory control and inspection teams to quarantine/segregate parts when nonconformance is identifiedDirects workers engaged in measuring, testing products and tabulating data concerning test set up and procedure to followWhen sort/rework of nonconforming material is required, provides technical support as requiredParticipates in Lean activities including Kaizen events and 6S auditsQuality SystemsDevelops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering fieldsDevises sampling procedures and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability dataContributes to the compilation/updating of training material, SOP’s, and QC Criteria as requiredB.S. degree or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline0-2 years of experience in Quality Engineering (in an ISO certified manufacturing environment preferred)Ability to read and understand engineering drawingsSolid communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsExcellent interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful closure.
