Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Mount Clemens, Michigan. This position involves delivering exceptional tax compliance and planning services to individuals and closely held businesses. Ideal candidates will have extensive expertise in taxation, a proactive approach to client engagement, and the ability to manage projects independently while collaborating with team members. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for various entities, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates. u2022 Provide year-round tax planning and advisory services tailored to business owners and high-net-worth individuals. u2022 Conduct research on complex tax issues and present clear, actionable recommendations. u2022 Ensure compliance with multi-state and local tax regulations as applicable. u2022 Oversee financial statement preparation and review monthly financial statements for accuracy. u2022 Utilize software such as UltraTax, Accounting CS, Engagement Manager, and QuickBooks to manage accounting processes efficiently. u2022 Mentor less experienced staff by reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback. u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively. u2022 Collaborate with principals and team members to enhance service delivery and resolve complex issues. u2022 Manage engagement workflows and deadlines to ensure timely completion of projects. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting; a Masteru2019s degree is preferred. u2022 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or eligibility with intent to maintain licensure. u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation. u2022 Proficiency in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for various entities. u2022 Strong technical knowledge of individual and business taxation. u2022 Familiarity with software tools such as UltraTax, QuickBooks, and Accounting CS. u2022 Ability to manage client relationships and deliver exceptional service. u2022 Experience mentoring team members and providing accurate reviews of their work.
