As an Assistant Residence Manager, you will have a key role in supporting our residential team and assisting individuals in achieving their goals and independence. What Youu2019ll Do: u2022 Residence Supervision: Assume responsibility for the residence in the absence of the Residence Manager, ensuring safety and compliance. u2022 Staff Supervision & Training: Assist in orienting, supervising, and evaluating Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring they follow proper procedures. u2022 Incident Reporting: Follow appropriate 624 procedures for reporting incidents and ensure proper documentation. u2022 Staff Scheduling & Payroll: Schedule staff coverage, verify time worked, and review time sheets and overtime records. u2022 Support & Transportation: Accompany individuals on appointments and activities, helping teach daily living skills and assisting DSPs in doing the same. u2022 Facility Maintenance: Assist with the upkeep of the residence and ensure the proper functioning of the physical plant, furnishings, and appliances. u2022 Medication Administration: Administer and verify the distribution of medication, maintaining accurate medication records (AMAP ledgers). u2022 Documentation & Reporting: Ensure proper documentation of activities, incidents, and other required reports, including daily logs, activity sheets, and trip evaluations. u2022 Emergency Procedures & Safety: Conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures, ensuring that both staff and individuals are prepared for emergencies. u2022 u200d Training & Development: Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and required certification programs. u2022 Cleanliness & Upkeep: Ensure the residence and grounds are kept clean and well-maintained. u2022 Team Collaboration: Work alongside clinical support staff (nurses, therapists, psychologists) to provide individualized care and support. What Weu2019re Looking For: u2022 Education: High School Diploma or GED required. u2022 Experience: Experience in a supervisory or direct care role, ideally working with individuals with developmental disabilities. u2022 Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. u2022 Licensing/Certifications: Must maintain AMAP Certification for administering medication, and be able to pass all required training (CPR, SCIP, etc.). u2022 Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of OPWDD regulations, abuse and neglect policies, and agency procedures. u2022 Valid NY State Driveru2019s License (6 points or less) and the ability to drive a 15-passenger van. u2022 Vaccination: Must be fully vaccinated (COVID-19). u2022 Other: Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet the operational needs of the residence.
