Provides individual, family, and group counseling in relation to the treatment and recovery of substance abuse. Prepares consumers for re-entry into the family and community.Prepares and maintains up-to-date electronic case notes, consumer records and reports.Conducts substance abuse therapeutic/rehabilitation counseling sessions. Utilizes evidence-based counseling techniques including but not limited to motivational interviewing, 12 Step counseling, cognitive therapy techniques; coordinates referrals for more intensive treatment if needed.
