Description We are looking for an organized and customer-focused Teller to join our team in Monterey, California. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the banking industry while delivering exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of financial transactions and ensure smooth day-to-day operations in a retail banking environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Process customer and business deposits, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate while issuing receipts. u2022 Handle withdrawals, check cashing, and cash advances within authorized limits, referring complex cases to a supervisor as needed. u2022 Operate computer systems to manage account activities, resolve inquiries, and determine balances efficiently. u2022 Assist with night depository services, including logging bags, processing deposits, issuing receipts, and handling change orders. u2022 Monitor accounts for memos or holds and take necessary actions before completing transactions. u2022 Accept loan or installment payments, maintain accurate records, and forward payments for processing. u2022 Balance the cash drawer daily, verify amounts for the vault, and manage the daily cash supply. u2022 Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns within your authority and escalating unresolved issues appropriately. u2022 Travel between branches to provide coverage for absent tellers when required. u2022 Support vault operations by assisting in opening, closing, and balancing currency and coin counts. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling or retail banking. u2022 Familiarity with bank operations and financial transaction processes. u2022 Proficiency in using computer systems for account management and problem resolution. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. u2022 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deliver outstanding customer service. u2022 Ability to travel to other branch locations as needed. u2022 Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to organizational policies. u2022 Knowledge of safety regulations and occupational health standards.
