TransportationAttendants (Bus Monitors) are responsible for monitoring and assistingstudents while they are being transported to and from school.Transportation Attendants report to the Principal/Headmaster of theassigned school. SPED Cab Monitors are assigned to monitor and assiststudents with special needs while they are being transported to and fromschool. The primary responsibility of a Transportation Attendant (BusMonitor) is to attend to the general supervision of all students on thevehicle. Transportation Attendants (Bus Monitors) are also responsiblefor performing other related duties as directed by their supervisors.Ability to operate a wide variety of safety equipment and adaptiveequipment on buses, including wheelchairs, wheelchair lifts, ChildSafety Restraint Systems, and other safety equipment, in a safe andeffective manner. Move a wheelchair on and off the bus as neededQualifications - Required: Must be 18 years of age or older High SchoolDiploma or GED Ability to enter/exit bus via steps repeatedly Must livein the City of Boston or be willing to move to the City of Boston ifhired. Ability to lift 25-49 lbs Proficiency in English Qualifications -Preferred: Previous experience working in a school setting and or withschool aged children is preferred CPR/First Aid Certified
