Join us to make legends happen Responsibilities:Suite Bartenders are responsible for delivering positive and engaging guest experience by accurately preparing and serving beverages to guests and serves in a friendly and efficient manner. This role operates in a non-cash environment and utilizes electronic Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions.u2022 Utilize high quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices to create sensational drinks for guestsu2022 Greet guests, take beverage orders from the restaurant servers or directly from guestsu2022 Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standardsu2022 Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beveragesu2022 Provide information on wine characteristics, evaluate guests needs, make appropriate suggestions and serve wine using proper wine service techniquesu2022 Work with culinary team to create mixers and garnishes for beveragesu2022 Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholu2022 Handle an assigned bank and follow all cash handling proceduresu2022 Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receiptsu2022 Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish suppliesu2022 Serve food items to guests seated at the baru2022 Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotionsu2022 Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and windows, etc. as neededu2022 Keep work area clean and organizedu2022 Organize Catering Storage Areasu2022 Attend mandatory meetingsu2022 Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.u2022 Complete other duties as assigned by supervisorQualifications:u2022 Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and holidaysu2022 Experience as a bartender for at least two years - VERIFIABLE REFERENCESu2022 Extensive knowledge of drink recipes.u2022 Know how to create and execute one of a kind drinks.u2022 Must be able to create and serve drinks in a timely manneru2022 Extensive knowledge of winesu2022 Must maintain personal hygiene and a well groomed appearance standardsu2022 Ability to work independently or in a team during set up and execution of serviceu2022 Willingness and drive to exceed the guest expectationsu2022 Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisoru2022 Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.u2022 Must be personable, friendly and welcoming.u2022 Ability to read, speak and write English Language in order to communicate with guests.u2022 Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.u2022 Ability to transport up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis. Must have state and local health requirements for food handlers/ ServSafe and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificates u2022 Must have verifiable Bartending certificate / completed bartending school Compensation: $16.90ph Union Membership:This position is represented by Unite Here Local 11.
