Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Scheduler Job Description The Maintenance Scheduler plays a critical role in optimizing maintenance activities and ensuring equipment reliability. This position coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, manages parts and materials, supports procurement functions, and collaborates closely with maintenance, production, and supply chain teams. Success in this role requires strong planning ability, technical understanding, and the drive to improve maintenance efficiency through data, organization, and communication. Responsibilities + Plan and schedule preventive, total productive maintenance (TPM), and corrective work orders. + Track maintenance KPIs and equipment uptime metrics. + Verify and close completed work orders. + Maintain equipment parts lists, inventory levels, and equipment history. + Determine material requirements and coordinate material flow. + Match purchase orders to receipts and maintain accurate records. + Submit supply requisitions and obtain competitive vendor quotes. + Prepare and process purchase orders. + Track costs and seek opportunities for savings and improved contract terms. + Collaborate with operations, purchasing, logistics, and suppliers. + Support integrated processes to improve maintenance and supply chain efficiency. + Communicate effectively across all departments. + Maintain daily budget tracking and cost documentation. + Manage P-Card reporting. + Organize and manage maintenance documentation with minimal supervision. Essential Skills + Experience as a maintenance technician. + Proficiency in maintenance scheduling software and CMMS. + Understanding of industrial maintenance, including preventive and predictive maintenance. + Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical maintenance, conveyors, and welding. + Experience with purchase orders and buyer experience. + Strong analytical skills and experience tracking KPIs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments. + Experience working with multiple departments. + Proficiency in computer and paperwork management. + Previous experience in ordering and procurement. Work Environment This is a non-exempt salaried position, meaning candidates will be salaried but eligible for overtime pay. Start time hours are somewhat negotiable, with a reference start time around 6 AM for the maintenance 1st shift. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Newton, IA.
