The Inventory Controller plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting business growth through effective inventory management.1.2 Key Responsibilitiesu00a0u2022Inventory Sorting and Organization: Categorize, organize, and maintain inventory in designated storage locations to ensure easy accessibility and efficient space utilization.u00a0u2022Job Picking: Select and prepare items from inventory based on work orders, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.u00a0u2022Labeling: Create and apply appropriate labels to inventory items, ensuring all products are properly identified with correct SKUs, barcodes, and relevant information.u00a0u2022Purchasing: Coordinate with vendors to place orders for inventory replenishment, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of supplies.u00a0u2022PO Tracking: Monitor and track purchase orders from creation to fulfillment, resolving any discrepancies and maintaining accurate documentation.u00a0u2022Catalog Management: Create and maintain detailed catalog entries for all inventory items, including specifications, pricing, and supplier information.u00a0u2022Inventory Auditing: Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels, identify discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy.u00a0u2022Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend process improvements.u00a0u2022Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory to ensure items meet quality standards and specifications.1.3 Basic Qualificationsu00a0u2022High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferredu00a0u20222+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or similar roleu00a0u2022Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applicationsu00a0u2022Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsu00a0u2022Basic math skills and ability to perform accurate calculationsu00a0u2022Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods1.4 Preferred Qualificationsu00a0u2022Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)u00a0u2022Knowledge of lean inventory management principlesu00a0u2022Certification in inventory management or supply chain operationsu00a0u2022Experience with barcode scanning systems and RFID technologyu00a0u2022Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and process improvement experienceu00a0EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
