Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Golf Professional:Assist the Head Golf Professional on the daily management of golf operationsTournament operations and weekly events including planning, pre-tournament, post-tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, score, prize distribution, and follow-upAssist with management of outside service staff to ensure the highest of quality of customer service is achievedAssist in managing golf car operations, practice facility, and club storage serviceAssist in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including order procedures, display, and salesMonitors all members' scores, reports handicapping to USGA and bills membersConduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional imageAssist with the administration of applicable staff via record keeping, work schedules, etc. in accordance with facility human resource policiesOpening and closing dutiesAssist with golfer check-in and fee collectionAssist with controlling and managing playAssist in coordinating golf activities with other departmentsKnowledge, Skill, & Traits:Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operationsStrong organizational, planning & prioritization skillsSelf-motivated with desire to promote and marketService and customer focused attitudeExperienced in written and oral business communicationExperienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PublisherKnowledge with online tee sheet systems, preferably ForeTeesKnowledge with tournament software, preferably Golf Genius Tournament SoftwareKnowledge with POS Systems, preferably Jonas SystemsMaintain and promote a positive professional image within the communityQualifications:Must be motivated to thrive in the golf industryClass A PGA Professional in good standing preferredPGA Level 2 or higher PGA Apprentice in good standing preferredMust be able to work on a seasonal basisWork Experience & Education:2 years of experience at a golf facility preferredPrivate club experience preferredHigh School DiplomaSome College preferred
