Job Description

Develop data Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to deliver position, instrument, and market data for end of day pricing, Profit and Loss Vector calculation and Stress Testing. Develop REST API services and Lambda functions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver data to pricing libraries. Develop Python code and stored procedures in Snowflake database. Interface with senior stakeholders in Risk Management and across the firm to gather system and software requirements and resolve technical issues. Build end points to determine computed results in the risk data hub. Liaise with the enterprise data hub team to source relevant technical data through using programming languages and operating systems. Use computer programming software tools including Git, Bamboo, and Jira.Requirements:Masteru2019s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or in a related roleOR Bacheloru2019s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a related roleAll of the required experience must have included experience with: using Python or Dask to write clean and maintainable code; building ETL pipelines to automate data extraction and transformation from multiple sources; using data orchestration tools to automate data workflows, and big data frameworks for distributed data processing; using AWS or Azure; building microservices architectures using API Gateway and FastAPI; using Snowflake, relational database systems (e.g., MS SQL, SQLite), and data warehousing technologies; performing data modeling and schema designs to efficiently store and query large datasets; and working in an Agile environment. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Jersey City, NJ office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
