Description We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Attorney to join our client's tax practice group in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in renewable energy tax credits, investment tax credits, and strategies for their monetization. This role requires someone with a strong background in tax law and the ability to navigate complex transactions and agreements with attention to detail. Responsibilities: u2022 Advise clients on renewable energy tax credits, including investment tax credits and monetization strategies. u2022 Draft and negotiate tax equity transactions and tax credit transfer agreements for sponsors and investors. u2022 Provide legal counsel on complex tax issues, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. u2022 Collaborate with clients to structure and finalize agreements that optimize tax benefits. u2022 Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws impacting renewable energy projects. u2022 Represent clients in legal proceedings, as needed, related to tax matters. u2022 Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and provide guidance on their potential implications. u2022 Work closely with cross-functional teams to address legal and tax-related challenges. u2022 Assist in developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing incentives. u2022 Manage legal documentation and ensure accuracy in all tax-related agreements. Requirements u2022 Must be a licensed Attorney with the ability to practice law. u2022 At least 3 years of experience in tax law, preferably in renewable energy tax credits. u2022 Strong understanding of investment tax credits and their monetization strategies. u2022 Proficient in negotiating tax equity transactions and transfer agreements. u2022 Excellent research and analytical skills in tax-related matters. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and stakeholders. u2022 Proven ability to manage complex legal documentation and agreements. u2022 Familiarity with relevant tax legislation and regulatory frameworks.
