Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring Medical Assistants in Saint Cloud, Florida This role is in person / onsite. Please review the details below and apply with an updated resume. Position Type : Three-month contract, opportunity for extension or full time offer Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Pay : $22.30 to $24.30 per hour, based on experience Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant : u00b7 Performs all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant's practice. u00b7 Operates diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), remove staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures, administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or via capillary, performs EKGs. u00b7 Performs quality control checks on equipment. u00b7 Prepares and sterilizes medical equipment using the autoclave u00b7 Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares patient for examination u00b7 Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner u00b7 Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies u00b7 Respects patient confidentiality always and treats patients with courtesy and respect u00b7 Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stocks and cleans rooms and sterilizes instruments u00b7 Practices standard infection control precautions u00b7 Telephone and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge u00b7 Supports and follows Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) u00b7 Performs all other related duties as assigned Qualifications of the Medical Assistant : u00b7 High school graduate or GED equivalent u00b7 Medical Assistant certification OR registration u00b7 BLS Certification u00b7 Medicare Advantage knowledge is a plus Why work for Adecco? u00b7 Weekly Pay u00b7 401(k) Plan u00b7 Skills Training u00b7 Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
