Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions. The role offers a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence two days a week and remote work three days a week. Responsibilities: u2022 Analyze general ledger account balances to ensure accuracy and provide financial insights. u2022 Prepare and reconcile financial reports to support decision-making processes. u2022 Assist with the development and documentation of accounting procedures and recommend improvements. u2022 Allocate expenses for services and ensure proper cost distribution. u2022 Maintain and reconcile specific general ledger accounts to ensure compliance and accuracy. u2022 Apply accounting principles and reporting standards to financial transactions. u2022 Record financial data in alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. u2022 Create detailed financial reports for analysis of account statuses and trends. u2022 Participate in accounting-related projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements u2022 Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures. u2022 Familiarity with accounting compliance laws and regulations. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools. u2022 Experience with manual or automated accounting systems. u2022 Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail. u2022 Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or related field. u2022 1-3 years of experience in financial accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
