This internship requires you to be out in the fieldalongside experiencedconstruction professionalsobservinghomesin various stages of construction, interfacing withthird-party trades, and checking the quality of their work.***This is a full?time, Monday-Friday position running for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026***Assist Superintendent in performing their duties and responsibilities, including, but not limited to:Attend scheduled field operations and construction meetingsReview start packs; For assigned communities, review plans and options, and develop understanding of red line process for contractorsDevelop understanding of opening and daily start processes for the communityDevelop understanding of scheduling process, cycle time management goals, challenges, and opportunitiesObserve and attend quality control and subcontractor signoff walksObserve and understand management and scheduling of 3rd party inspection processesLearn how to perform a Buyer pre-construction orientation and Pre-Drywall orientationUnderstand final homeowner orientation and final sign-off processesLearn and understand construction functions of enterprise systemAs an intern with us, you will have the chance to:Work closely with our expert team - learning the end-to-end homebuilding processUnderstand how our proven business model - KBEdge supports our goal of being the most customer-obsessed builder in the countryObserve how our community (Construction, Customer Service & Sales) teams work together to deliver homes 100% Complete and On Time to every customerContribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.Are currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Possess familiarity with construction and engineering concepts, blueprints, and relevant software programs.Embrace a customer-obsessed mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.Thrive in a team-oriented environment and value collaboration.Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, external officials, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the companyThe ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.Ability to move about work location.Valid driver's license required: Local travel via automobile required within designated region to KB Home communities.Ability to walk up and down stairs.Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio).
