Whether you're the ultimate team player or you like rolling solo, we need someone who can do both with ease.FTE: 0.01, Shift: Variable, Schedule: VariablePosition SummaryThe Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the delivery of skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to designated patient populations with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities, which requires the use of advanced practitioner skills to intervene in complex patient care situations. This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. This position operates independently, under limited supervision. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, outside health care providers, and other organizations.RequirementsGraduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training programRegistered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory CareLicensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of WashingtonRegistry eligibility notice to sit for RRT exam from NBRC requiredAdvanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire depending on age of the population served: ACLS, NRP, PALSHealth Care Provider level CPR certificationMinimum one (1) year of acute care experience in the field of respiratory therapy and critical care as CRT preferredConsideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum education qualifications.About Valley HospitalMultiCare Valley Hospital is a 123-bed, fully accredited acute-care hospital in Spokane Valley, featuring a Level III Trauma Center, comprehensive surgical, inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic services, and advanced cardiac care.
