Job Description

Job Title: Assembler Job Description The Assembler will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and finishing of in-process units. This involves constructing the frame of the unit by attaching rectangular metal pieces together using tools, followed by moving the finished units to a boxing area where they will be wrapped in cardboard and prepared for shipment. Responsibilities + Perform simple mechanical assembly of unit frames using tools. + Complete the box finishing by wrapping units in cardboard for shipping. + Operate and handle power tools and hand tools safely. + Ensure high-quality work is consistent with company standards. + Lift and move parts weighing 30-40 pounds multiple times per day. Essential Skills + Experience in a role requiring standing for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. + Ability to repetitively lift 30-40lb parts, up to 50+ times per day. + Familiarity with hand and power tools. + Ownership of steel-toed or composite-toed protective shoes. Available Shift & Pay + 1st shift: 6am-4:30pm (Monday - Thursday) + $18.50 Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment consists of a standard fabrication and assembly operation divided into fabrication and assembly areas. The fabrication area includes a laser cutting machine, deburring and brazing stations, and basic hand tool workstations. The assembly area is organized but somewhat cramped, with units moving on carts. The facility is temperature-controlled, but workers may feel warm due to required arm sleeves. Shifts include 1st shift from 6am-4:30pm and 2nd shift from 4:30pm-3am, with mandatory overtime on Fridays. PPE includes steel toes, safety glasses, protective cut sleeves, and cut gloves. The dress code requires cotton, canvas, or denim pants, worn at the waist and belted if needed, with no hoods worn over the head. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Noblesville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
