Wiring Technician (1st and 2nd) Job Description Join our manufacturing team as a Wiring Technician, where you will assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels for chiller and control products ranging from 150 to 550 tons. You will be responsible for performance testing and providing accurate test reports, interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. Shift M- F 7am - 3:30pm 2nd shift- M-th 4p-1a; f 1-9; s as needed Responsibilities + Perform point-to-point wiring and component installation, including circuit breakers, relays, power supplies, and PLCs. + Route and secure wiring neatly to ensure proper function and compliance with safety standards. + Conduct quality checks and functional testing of panels before final installation. + Troubleshoot and resolve wiring or component issues to ensure proper operation. + Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety investigations. + Assist Technical Support with site visits and customer end-of-line witness tests. + Involvement in quality investigations and structured problem solving using tools and methodologies. + Perform testing requirements such as pressure test, evacuation and charging, refrigeration performance testing, electrical component testing, mechanical/electrical installations, testing design at required waterflows and pressure drops. + Build test rigs and assist with test plans. Essential Skills + 1+ years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field. + Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings. + Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices for electrical work. + Knowledge of electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures. + Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and efficiency. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of pressure testing procedures, leak detection methods, and chiller systems is a plus. + Experience with PLC wiring and troubleshooting preferred, but not required. You will be expected to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds (non-repetitive), and stoop. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grenada, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
