Position SpecificResponsibilities WSUOld Town andWSUHaysville are accepting applicationsfor an Office Coordinator who will coordinate the office and businessactivities of both locations, including budget and financialtransactions, and building maintenance. This position will be basedatWSUOld Town but will also report toWSUHaysville as needed. Mileagewill be paid if you are required to go to both locations on the sameday.Wichita State University serves the greater Wichita Area by offeringconvenient day and evening class schedules and bringing qualityWSUhighereducation and small classes in a friendly environment off-campus to thecommunities in Sedgwick County. Two of those locations areWSUOld Town(located at 213 N. Mead) andWSUHaysville (located at Campus High School,2100 W 55th Street). While the classes inWSUHaysville are in themorning, most (but not all) of the classes atWSUOld Town are in the lateafternoon and early evening. Summary of ResponsibilitiesCoordinates the office activities of a department including thereception area, business operations, and facilities.Essential FunctionsEnsures accurate maintenance of office records, manuals and documentskeeping abreast of new policies and procedures and informs appropriatestaff of changes. Coordinates all office functions including but notlimited to administering staff changes, training, supplies, equipmentmaintenance, repairs and renovations.Resolves office problems independently and facilitates solutions;confers with supervisor to resolve more complex situations.Coordinates and schedules arrangements for meetings, conferences, andevents. Performs clerical duties such as prepares and distributescorrespondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other writtencommunications.May provide ongoing monitoring and tracking of department mitment Wichita State University is the only urban-serving publicuniversity in Kansas and has the most diverse student body of all theKansas state universities. Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent by hire datePreferred Education Minimum ExperienceThree (3) years of experience in general office, clerical,administrative support or related field.Preferred Experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Ability to exercise appropriate personal initiative and accountability with exceptional follow through, attention to details, and track and mee deadlines. Strong time management, organizational and record keeping skills.- Ability to assist supervisors to maintain and improve office/building operations and implement new protocols and procedures.- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional office environment to include, but not limited to; knowledge of office ethics and proper office behavior; produce at a high level independently and in teams; adapt quickly to change and feedback; problem solve and use independent judgement.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding customer service skills and attitude; must be able to interact with all stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner- Demonstratedproficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Publisher
