Job Description: As the office assistant for Meals on Wheels Mesa County, no two days will be the same Supporting both our Home Delivered Meals and our Dining Site programs, you'll be answering telephone calls, greeting clients, supporting and engaging with volunteers, and filling in on routes and at sites utilizing a company vehicle when necessary, which can sometimes be multiple times in one week. The other main duties involve data entry into spreadsheets, CRM's, and a state data base. _This position is NOT located at the hospital. The work location is_ _698 Long Acre Drive._ _This is a grant funded position and the rate of pay is $19/hr._ Essential Functions + Greets volunteers, answers telephone calls, takes messages, and forwards calls in a courteous and efficient manner. Ensures customers requests are triaged and handled appropriately and timely. + Checks phone and e-mail messages and communicates accurate messages in a timely manner. + In some situations, you are required to enter patientu2019s homes to deliver food. + Responds to requests for information and appropriately releases information based on policy. + Has access to confidential information regarding our customers. + Creates and maintains daily schedules and routes. + Tactfully handles difficult situations with customers while remaining positive and professional. + When needed, escalates issues to the appropriate staff member. + Provides clerical support. May assist with any of the following assignments: sorting and distributing mail; typing; data entry; assembling files or packets; scanning documents; processing forms or paperwork; or other clerical duties. + Responds to requests for information and appropriately releases information based on policy. + Has access to confidential information regarding our customers. + Creates and maintains daily schedules and routes.
