In this role, you'll be essential in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for water treatment equipment to include selecting suitable instruments, programming devices such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), SCADA systems, and other control technologies, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into our processes. A strong understanding of instrumentation and controls is crucial, along with proficiency in using various tools and software applications.Principal Areas of Responsibilityu2022 Responsible for precise troubleshooting and repair worku2022 Interface with customers regarding I&C designs and submitted design documents.u2022 Understand and assess client problems and determine appropriate means of solutionu2022 Ensure plant field instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment remain in optimal working condition by performing necessary maintenance and repairsu2022 Develop and implement an accurate calibration program for plant instrumentationu2022 Execute assigned preventive and predictive maintenance tasks with precision; collect and analyze trended data on equipment as instructedu2022 Review, evaluate, and recommend improvements for plant spare parts inventory twice a year or as directed by the Maintenance Manager; monitor usage and reorder spare parts as requiredu2022 Maintain calibration records in compliance with regulatory standardsu2022 Service and repair plant equipment following vendor guidelines and established plant proceduresu2022 Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of plant logic and control systems; troubleshoot issues using drawings and diagramsu2022 Familiarize yourself with plant manuals, system descriptions, operating procedures, and emergency response plans, ensuring quick access when neededu2022 Respond promptly to plant incidents or operational emergenciesu2022 Inspect, repair, install, and remove a variety of motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems, and storage batteriesu2022 Perform troubleshooting, calibration, and analysis on facility instrumentation, including DCS, PLC, and turbine control systems, as assignedu2022 Committed to upholding safety standards in all aspects of worku2022 Other duties may be assignedBring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and weu2019ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the worldu2019s most challenging Operations Management projects, together.#ourjacobs #bia #omfs #challengeaccepted u2022 Two (2) to five (5) yearsu2019 experience in the operation and maintenance of water/wastewater treatment facilities or a similar industrial type environment or related industryu2022 Exceptional problem-solving capabilitiesu2022 Ability to use computer systems and programs, such as Microsoft Office, HachWIMS or various other work processing and spreadsheet applications and computerized maintenance management systems associated with the operations of an advanced water reclamation facilityu2022 Ability to provide leadership and prioritize work activities on a shift basis in response to operational needs and process control requirementsu2022 Available for emergencies as neededu2022 Experience writing procedure manuals and/or SOPsu2022 Ability to apply mathematics to operational tasks such as chemical dosing, flow calculations, pipe or tank volumes, etc.u2022 Experience with creating technical documents, publications, and design reports.u2022 Valid CA Driveru2019s License with no major infractions requiredIdeally, Youu2019ll Also Haveu2022 High school diploma or equivalentu2022 Strong communication skills in the English language (written, verbal, inter-personal)Working Conditions & Physical RequirementsThe work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as outdoors, which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction.
