This position will lead one of the regionu2019s prominent high-impact public service operations. The successful candidate will provide division-level leadership and oversees all aspects of Clark Countyu2019s permitting operations, including plan intake, permit issuance, fee assessment, inspection scheduling, customer service, addressing, and permitting record systems. This position plays a central role in ensuring that all services comply with County ordinances, State statutes, adopted fee schedules, and applicable building, fire, and zoning codes. This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources. Russell Road, Las Vegas NV 89118, is dedicated to providing construction and development customers with state-of-the-art permit management, plan review and inspections services for residential and commercial construction. The Building Department is responsible for ensuring public safety through the effective enforcement of development and construction standards which include issuance of permits, plan reviews, inspection services for conformity to the State of Nevada and the adopted Model Codes. For more information regarding this career opportunity with the Clark County Building Department, please visit the department web page at: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: Bacheloru2019s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field and five (5) years of full-time experience in a permit-related environment involving public interaction and the explanation of complex policies and procedures; two (2) years of which must include full-time supervisory or management experience. Experience coordinating complex information systems or automated permitting activities is highly desirable. Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
