Job Title: Manager Sourcing and Supply Distribution Entity: LGH Location: Lancaster General Hospital - 555 N Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602 Hours: 1.0 FTE (40 Hours per week), Day Shift Position Summary: + Provide leadership and development to the distribution, implementation and utilization of supplies across Lancaster General entities. Direct the activities, training and development of staff associated with all Storeroom, Shipping and Receiving, Sourcing and Inventory Control Operations. Implement procedures and management tools that ensure efficient and effective distribution, supply management, product assessment, and communication to all constituents. + Provide consultative services to all LG departments related to supply, sourcing, and staff expense management and opportunities. + Implement processes within the department functions to assure efficient and effective supply sourcing, inventory control, distribution and receiving management. Responsibilities: + Manages the daily operations of the Sourcing and Supply Distribution departmentsu2019 functions for all Lancaster General entities; includes assigned tasks and priorities, training, rewarding, counseling and disciplining employees. + Develop and implement procedures and process flows to support the operations of the supply management departments including the Storerooms, Shipping and Receiving, and the Sourcing and Inventory Control Operations. Monitors outcomes and makes appropriate changes to meet expected outcomes. + Provides project leadership and team facilitation for department operations and projects. + Supports the value analysis, cost savings, and product standardization processes through Materials Management and financial analysis functions. Project lead as assigned for certain initiatives. + Develops and publishes reports to track and trend key department performance measures. + Leads and develops the following initiatives and has oversight for implementation for the Materials Management staff: vendor management and supply sourcing, business intelligence advancements, process improvements for inventory management and ERP technology. + Leads the department and the organization in vendor management, supply sourcing, and alternate products and vendors to meet the needs of the departments supported by Materials Management. Works closely with the LGH Value Analysis and Corporate Supply Chain to be aligned with processes and policies. + Recommend and implement process improvements for effective department operations. + Vendor management to include oversight of Vendormate and other programs and tools to ensure vendors are aligned with Penn Medicine policies. + Communicate information to employees and customers relevant to the overall operation of the department and the healthcare system. + Conducts staff meetings to communicate department information and ensure continuous development opportunities for employees. + Other duties as assigned related to the leadership role for the department + Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures + Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization Credentials: + CPIM (Preferred) Education or Equivalent Experience: + Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (Required) + 5+ years of Supply Chain, Logistics, or other relevant experience in a similar operation (Required) + Excellent communication and leadership skills (Required) + Computer skills related to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP, handheld scanning devices, and other computer experience related to supply chain and leadership (Required) + 3+ years of experience in the medical field (Preferred) We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
