Description We are looking for a Patient Administrative Specialist to join our team in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth administrative operations within the outpatient clinical setting. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to support patients and healthcare providers through effective coordination and communication. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out processes. u2022 Welcome patients, addressing their inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules. u2022 Coordinate with healthcare providers to manage scheduling preferences and respond to urgent patient needs. u2022 Maintain clinic databases, including information and paging directories, while processing internal forms. u2022 Provide support to doctors and patients by utilizing reference tools and documentation. u2022 Handle non-clinical patient messages and CRMs, escalating concerns when necessary. u2022 Organize and distribute incoming faxes, mail, and clinic-specific documentation. u2022 Ensure compliance with organizational service standards and department expectations. u2022 Assist with surgery scheduling and other administrative tasks related to daily clinic operations. u2022 Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities effectively. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent education. u2022 Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of clinical processes. u2022 Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Windows-based office software and EMR systems. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored appropriately to the audience. u2022 Ability to provide outstanding customer service and solve problems efficiently. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Calm demeanor and adaptability in high-pressure situations. u2022 Experience with multi-line phone systems and database management.
