The Cafeteria Manager impacts students lives by:Embodying, advocating, and operationalizing the mission, vision, and strategic direction of the schoolSupervising and supporting kitchen and cafeteria staff, including scheduling, training on safety and sanitation, providing clear direction, and addressing performance issues professionallyOverseeing food production and menu planning in compliance with USDA guidelines, incorporating student feedback to improve satisfaction, and ensuring proper portion control and presentationMaintaining accurate records of food production, inventory, and daily operationsEnsuring proper storage and labeling of food and supplies to maintain freshness and compliance with safety standardsManaging inventory, ordering food and supplies from approved vendors, receiving and inspecting deliveries, and controlling costs to meet budgetary guidelinesPromoting teamwork and a positive work environment within the cafeteriaManaging special dietary accommodations for students with allergies, medical needs, or cultural preferencesEnsuring compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper food handling, kitchen cleanliness, and regular inspectionsReporting equipment malfunctions or needed repairs promptly to appropriate personnelPreparing and submitting required reports, including daily production records, inventory logs, and financial documentationAttending meetings and participating in training programs to stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changesTaking on other tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance and Operations and Network Director of Food ServicesWhat We Offer:
