Job Description

Deliver critical care as a Registered Nurse on a Stepdown/Cardiovascular Unit dedicated to advanced cardiac care and post-operative patient management. This contract opportunity is located in Gaylord, MI, offering the chance to work with a top-rated cardiac team known for excellent clinical outcomes and innovative treatment protocols.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemaker implantations.Manage post-open heart surgery patients during the critical 18-24 hour post-operative period.Monitor and treat patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies.Utilize clinical judgment to assess patient status and intervene appropriately.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including research staff involved in national clinical trials focused on cardiovascular care.Desired Qualifications:Current RN license with experience in Stepdown or Cardiovascular nursing.Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cardiology unit.Knowledge of cardiac procedures and post-operative mitment to attendance and punctuality, in compliance with a strict attendance policy.Schedule/Hours:Contract position with scheduled shifts adhering to unit requirements.Benefits of this assignment include exposure to cutting-edge cardiac care supported by a Silver level Beacon Award-winning unit, and an environment recognized nationally for heart health excellence.
