Responsibilities Ensure staff members are properly trained and retrained according to training guides and procedures.Develop employees through coaching, goal setting, conducting performance reviewsInitiate and implement programs and procedures required to ensure DC safety and cleanliness in all zonesEnsure all equipment is in good order and ensure employees perform pre-shift checksMaintain labour budget and cost per unit; assist the manager in planning and scheduling labor dailyUnderstand and oversee the day-to-day operation of the Customer Pick Ups, Return to Vendor, Chair Assembly Departments as well as be responsible for clerical functions throughout the building; communicate and liaise with stores as requiredPromote employee involvement in employee relations and safety committeesTrain and develop employees, identifying and mentoring high potential candidatesEnsure compliance with all Brick Group policies and procedures while achieving departmental goals through effective staff management Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education an assetMinimum 3 years’ experience in a diverse work environment. Experience in Dispatcher WMS would be an assetExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenWorking knowledge of materials handling equipment and safe material handling techniquesProficient with Microsoft Office programsSelf-motivated, high energy and a strong work ethicSuperior planning and organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Why The Brick?
