Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis for a two-month assignment in Monterey, California. This role involves working within a manufacturing environment to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective accounting processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee and manage general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Conduct account and bank reconciliations as part of month-end close procedures. u2022 Prepare detailed financial statements and reports to support business operations. u2022 Assist with cost accounting tasks, including inventory analysis and variance resolution. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy. u2022 Review accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure adherence to company policies. u2022 Support audit preparation by organizing documentation and providing necessary information. u2022 Mentor entry-level accounting staff, offering guidance and expertise as needed. u2022 Participate in initiatives to enhance processes and streamline finance operations. u2022 Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required during the assignment. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. u2022 Strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members. u2022 Commitment to completing the two-month contract assignment with reliability.
