Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis for a two-month assignment in Monterey, California. This role involves working within a manufacturing environment to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective accounting processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee and manage general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Conduct account and bank reconciliations as part of month-end close procedures. u2022 Prepare detailed financial statements and reports to support business operations. u2022 Assist with cost accounting tasks, including inventory analysis and variance resolution. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy. u2022 Review accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure adherence to company policies. u2022 Support audit preparation by organizing documentation and providing necessary information. u2022 Mentor entry-level accounting staff, offering guidance and expertise as needed. u2022 Participate in initiatives to enhance processes and streamline finance operations. u2022 Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required during the assignment.
