Job Title

Perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain offices, hallways, cafeterias, and other assigned areas of the facility. Follow standard practices and procedures and comply with regulatory requirements. Work hours are Full time, 40 hours a week. M, W, F 6am - 2:30pm and T, Th 10am - 6:30pm. Responsibilities: Dust furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust mop floors Polish and clean fixtures in rooms and bathrooms Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, carpet shampooers and related environmental service equipment Wet mop rooms, halls, etc., shampoo rugs and furniture Clean vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder Gather and dispose of trash and recyclable materials using specified bags and/or containers Buff, strip, wax and polish floors Move furniture and other heavy objects as required Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors and walls of bathrooms Keep work areas neat and orderly, clean equipment and assist with other cleaning duties as assigned Attend all meetings as required Participate in educational programs, training meetings and fire drills Perform other related duties as assigned Duties as project manager or project team member as appointed Knowledge of various cleaning agents and/or chemicals Facility sanitation Good communication skills, both oral and written Demonstration of planning and priority setting abilities Self driven, takes initiative, works independently Demonstrates Otis Values Adaptability, demonstrated by flexibility and the ability to thrive in a changing environment Teamwork and collaborative thinking Detail oriented Demonstration of composure, professional poise and confidence High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of experience in housekeeping Lift, push and pull items up to 50 pounds Stand and walk for long periods of time Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching Exposure to housekeeping/cleaning agents and/or chemicals Exposure to noise Minimum Qualifications and Experience: (Education and Training) High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of experience in housekeeping Lift, push and pull items up to 50 pounds Stand and walk for long periods of time Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching Exposure to housekeeping/cleaning agents and/or chemicals Exposure to noise
